Transferable skills

The NCCR Bio-Inspired Materials offers advanced training for PhD students to support the development of their professional and transferable skills preparing them for future successful careers. Examples include the organization of topical workshops, an Annual Science and Job Fair, and bi-monthly round table discussions. Media training.

The Swiss National Science Foundation also offers courses to communicate and promote research and science in general more effectively. These media courses are mainly aimed at scientists who already have some research experience as postdocs and are funded by the SNSF, its partners, or the Mercator foundation Switzerland. However, the offer is in principle open to all advanced researchers who wish to become more adept at dealing with the media. For more information, please go here.
