NCCR Alumni,
From 2014 to 2017

Laura Rodriguez-Lorenzo studied chemistry at the University of Vigo in Spain. She received her PhD from the University of Vigo in 2012, under the direction of Professors Luis M. Liz-Marzan and Ramon A. Alvarez-Puebla. Her thesis was related to plasmonics, surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and their application in sensing. She joined the BioNanomaterials group at AMI in August 2012. Her present research interests mainly focus on the synthesis of metallic nanostructures and hybrid composites, self-assembly, sensing application, plasmonics and surface-enhanced spectroscopies.
